Following is a link to a Maine State Library Trusted Professionals Survey with the following objective: “…to measure the perceived “trustworthiness” (honest and ethical standards) of librarians and a variety of other professions,” http://digitalmaine.com/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1100&context=msl_docs.
Maine residents responded and one of the key findings was “(a)mong the twenty-two professions included in this research, the top rated in terms of perceived honesty and ethics, are Nurses (81%), followed by Librarians (78%) and Pharmacists (74%) (emphasis added).
Librarians are in good company. Do not make the mistake and ask the question – do you value our services?
Dare to ask and take pride in a job well done.
